Introduction
The qualification is suitable for a learner who has responsibility in the workplace to undertake fire safety requirements and will provide learners with the knowledge to carry out designated duties as a Fire Warden/Marshal. The qualification will also increase fire safety awareness for all employees. The qualification covers fire hazard, risk assessment, control of fire in the workplace and duties of both employers and employees
Attendees: This training is suitable for:
- Any person assigned fire safety duties in the workplace, such as a fire warden/marshal and/or others wishing to increase their knowledge of fire safety measures
Syllabus
A range of subjects are covered, including:
- The hazards and risks associated with workplace fire safety
- Controlling fire risk in the workplace
- Principles and practice of fire safety management in the workplace
- Understanding the role of the nominated fire warden on a day-to-day basis
- Understanding the role of the nominated fire warden during an emergency
Certification
A Level 2 award in Fire Safety will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. First Aid Awards Ltd (FAA) are an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation
Length of session: Half day (7 hours, including 1/2 hour lunch + two 15-minute breaks)
