Course description
Introduction
Young children are increasingly exposed to digital technology both at home and in early years settings, making online safety an essential part of safeguarding practice. This online safety workshop is designed to support early years practitioners in understanding the risks children may face online and how to promote safe, age-appropriate use of technology.
The workshop will explore key areas such as safeguarding and online abuse, the use of digital devices and apps and working in partnership with parents to promote consistent online safety messages. Staff will gain practical guidance and confidence to recognise concerns, respond appropriately, and create a safe digital environment that supports children's learning and wellbeing.
