About the Event

The DfE has introduced new guidance to be implemented from 01/04/2026. The guidance includes changes to reporting and recording incidents of physical intervention and reporting of incidents to parents. The use of seclusion and clarification on the use of reasonable force to help school staff use the power safely and appropriately.

This short briefing session is designed to raise awareness and allow providers time to prepare for the new guidance/

  • Pupil referral units
  • Non-maintained special schools
  • Independent schools
