Session Description

About the Event

Introduction

This workshop provides leaders with an opportunity to explore the emerging direction of SEND reform and its implications for schools. We will reflect on the key principles outlined within the school's white paper 'Every Child Achieving and Thriving' and the SEND reform consultation. Through discussion and practical reflection, we will examine the anticipated changes to SEND provision and practice, identify actions that can be taken now to prepare for reform, and consider the opportunities and challenges these changes may present. The workshop will also explore the proposed graduated tiers of support, enabling participants to evaluate current provision and plan how new approaches can be effectively embedded within their own contexts to strengthen inclusion, consistency, and early intervention.
