Session Description

Introduction

This refresher session is designed to support participants who are safeguarding leads/officers within their organisation. It will revisit their responsibilities and how they can effectively embed a safe and positive culture within their setting.

This session will provide the participants with the opportunity to reflect on their own practice while exploring the various scenarios theyy may face.

Attendees: This training is suitable for your safeguarding leads/officers

Content

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Revisit statutory guidance underpinning your practice
  • Understand your role and responsibility in creating a strong safeguarding culture within your organisation 
  • Understand contextual safeguarding issues
  • Revisit staff conduct and self-disclosure
  • Look at emerging legislation and guidance 
  • The importance of effective record keeping
