About the Event
Introduction
This practical workshop will support school leaders to reflect on the Inclusion Strategy guidance and its implications for their setting by considering how its principles can be translated into meaningful action. Participants will explore the seven key principles of inclusion, what they look like in practice and how chosen activities can address barriers to learning and participation and align with these principles. Practical activities will introduce the five-stage process for inclusion, providing an opportunity to reflect on how this process can be shaped into a whole school approach to inclusion. The session will also provide time to reflect on the core components of the strategy, and use of funding, to support the development of an effective, meaningful and sustainable first iteration of the Inclusion Strategy.
