Session Description

Introduction

This session will support practitioners in early years' settings to understand the importance of assessments, observation and planning. It will provide practitioners with information to use to enhance their skills and knowledge and improve their record keepings skills.

For all staff who are responsible for safeguarding matters, including:

  • Early Years Practitioners

Learning outcomes:


By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose of effectively observing young children 
  • Exploring key legislation 
  • How to use assessment to identify individual children's stages of development 
  • Planning effectively to support and extend children's learning and interests
