Course description
Introduction
This training session considers the term behaviour and how we can support positive engagement within the classroom. By reflecting on the different behaviours children may present with, we will consider the underlying factors that influence how children communicate needs, emotions, and experiences through their actions. The session introduces proactive and relational approaches to responding to behaviour in ways that minimise escalation and reduce the risk of crisis and considers how to manage children's distress and dysregulation safely. Throughout the session, participants will be able to reflect on what contributes to a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where children feel secure, understood, and ready to learn
