Introduction
This session can be delivered as an assembly or as a workshop
Assembly
The assembly is designed to be delivered to a large group of children. It will cover and revisit topics relating to online safety they should have some knowledge of.
The assembly will provide key messages for children to take away while giving them the opportunity to reflect on their own presence online.
This session would be encouraged if your school or organisation would benefit from it being delivered in a hall or large area.
The assembly is delivered over 45 minutes
Workshop
This workshop has been designed to be delivered to small groups of children within a classroom setting.
The workshop will provide key messages for children to take away while giving them the opportunity to reflect on their own presence online with their peers.
The workshop provides the child with more opportunities to engage with others. It gives them the opportunity to complete group activities and encourages discussion
The workshop is delivered over 1 hour

Course Content
- The session covers the 4 elements of online safety
- It provides the opportunity to reflect on online usage, balancing the risk and consequences with positive informed choices
- The session will highlight harmful content, including fake news, algorithms and echo chambers and explore the difference between misinformation and disinformation
- It explores the consequences of inappropriate conduct online including real-life examples
- The session allows time to reflect on online contact and how to report concerns
- The session will discuss the risks of online scams and how to keep safe from these
- The session will also highlight digital wellbeing with suggestions to improve digital wellbeing
