Introduction
This session can be delivered as an assembly or as a workshop
Assembly
The assembly is designed to be delivered to a large group of children. It will cover and revisit topics relating to online safety they should have some knowledge of.
The assembly will provide key messages for children to take away while giving them the opportunity to reflect on their own presence online.
This session would be encouraged if your school or organisation would benefit from it being delivered in a hall or large area.
The assembly is delivered over 30 minutes
Workshop
This workshop has been designed to be delivered to small groups of children within a classroom setting.
The workshop will provide key messages for children to take away while giving them the opportunity to reflect on their own presence online with their peers.
The workshop provides the child with more opportunities to engage with others. It gives them the opportunity to complete group activities and encourages discussion
The workshop is delivered over 1 hour

Course Content
- The session covers the 4 elements of online safety
- It explores the impact and consequences of misusing the internet
- It provides children with the opportunity to reflect on their conduct and online usage
- The children will think about illegal, harmful and abusive content
- The session looks at fat news and helps children to understand the difference between misinformation and disinformation
- Exploring the consequences of sharing videos and images including indecent and posting unkind messages
- Exploring real-life stories about online hate and the consequences
- The session allows the children time to reflect on who they are in contact with online and whether this is safe
- It will provide them with red flags to watch out for online
- The session will also highlight the dangers of purcases made online and the links to gambling
