Course Description
Introduction
This session is designed to support staff in school to explore the skills
and knowledge needed in relation to supporting families and providing
intervention.
The training looks at why family support is important and the guidance
and legislation that underpins practice.
The session will allow participants to reflect on practice, discuss boundaries
and challenges, while sharing strategies found beneficial to alleviate these.
The session helps participants develop an understanding of thresholds and the importance of professional curiosity.
The session will also allow you to reflect on your own wellbeing and how
you can effectively look after yourself, providing you with strategies and
ideas in relation to self-care.
Attendees
This training is suitable for all staff within your organisation, who
have direct communication with pupils, home and outside agencies.
This session can be accessed centrally or in school with a group of staff. It can also be purchased as a package of workshops for pastoral staff.
